STAGE EMPOWERMENT, WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Why do we need the stage empowerment training or the ability to express our true selves in everyday life?
Hi!
My name is Marin. I have been working as a professional actress for 20 years, 11 of them at one of the national theatres in Estonia, and since 2016 as a freelancer, and for the past 8 years as a stage empowerment coach in all over Europe and online.
As an actress, I have often experienced how enormous stage fright has hindered my role performance (also the clarity of the message I have wanted to deliver) and has even been an obstacle, making my performing on stage not a pleasant experience for me at all. As an artist, I have been a great self-doubter, a perfectionist, extremely self-critical, as well as a seeker and experimenter, which may actually be quite beneficial qualities for an artist, but when these qualities have started to take me over and I have given them too much power, they have again become more of a hindrance in the creative process (for example -when preparing a project or a role).
Through my own experience, and purely out of necessity, in order to cope with the internal tensions and contradictions within myself, at one point I began to look more closely at the phenomenon of 'stage fright' - where it manifests itself in my body; why do I block the creative process with my own thoughts and not see the solutions, but am rather focusing on obstacles; how my own thought patterns create emotions and insecurities that all interfere and create a vicious circle where everything repeats itself over and over again; why I keep experiencing that people do not understand me or I am not able to explain them my thoughts in a way that they would understand.
Through a lot of inner work and experimentation, I have now put together a series of workshops with very practical exercises that have helped me and many of my students and workshop participants to become more courageous and free in their self-expression and communication, both on stage and in everyday life.
I believe that if we are able to express our ideas, thoughts, feelings and visions clearly and with confidence, we have a much greater chance of experiencing inspiring collaborations in ourselves and with others, and I believe that the clarity of our self-expression will also create more understanding, simplicity and wonderful solutions and determination in our everyday life as well as other´s.
My experience has shown me that investing in myself and learning new skills has always given me new perspectives of how to keep creating my own life the way it would bring the most contentment and joy for me and for the people who surround me.
I am so grateful every day that I get to do what I love and love what I do.
You are very welcome to join me in this exciting journey!!!
